Kristin Dowling lives her life with a purpose: to prevent other members of the LGBTQ+ community from having to experience the same struggles that she did.
Growing up in South Carolina in the ’90s, she felt no sense of community, no sense of belonging. That’s what Dowling was looking for when she joined the United States Air Force, and that’s what she’s spent years trying to develop in Montgomery.
