irst MPU Family Day at the zoo was a rousing success! About 85 members of our close knit family joined in the late July fun. The gathered folks ranged in age from many weeks to many decades, and of course we encompassed the entire range of gender and skin tone.
Many thanks to Ted Bodenheimer for capturing and sharing photos of the day. You can see a few of us in the collage above, as folks got together in some shade to enjoy lunch, laughs, and lots of love.
As summer moves into fall, we will have more opportunities to connect and celebrate each other right up through the PRIDE festival at the end of October. These hours of joy and recreation will help sustain us as we continue to build the beloved community and establish justice and equity for all of us in Montgomery and beyond.
