We are thrilled to announce that Colors River Region is now under the umbrella of Montgomery Pride United. This enables us to support the vital work that Colors is doing to support queer youth and their loved ones in and around Montgomery.
Colors endured a difficult period of reorganization in recent years, but through it all, under the dynamic and steadfast leadership of Kristin Dowling, has continued to provide safe space for young people to gather weekly. Each Monday evening, queer youth are invited to find safe space and community at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Montgomery (downstairs — come to rear entrance) at 2810 Atlanta Highway from 6:00 until 8:00pm.
Of course, Kristin will continue at the helm, supported by a few volunteers who make it all happen. Watch for more information on Colors River Region, their people and their activities, in coming months.
