Our Space

 

The Bayard Rustin Community Center and Thrift Store is named after civil rights activist, Bayard Rustin. Bayard was an indispensable force behind the civil rights movement alongside Martin Luther King Jr. and openly gay. Our center carries on his legacy of advocacy, education, queer liberation, and unity.

Parking | Parking is available behind our building, side street (no meter fees after 5 and on weekends), and the very back lot of Wendy's.

Times | Check our COVID-19 hours. Masks required for all visits. We are usually open Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM. If you are requiring assistance with resources please call 334-356-2464 to make an appointment.
